Why jumping? Jumping is celebration. Jumping is fun. Jumping is silly, freeing and energizing. It is a unique expression of who you are. Jumping for joy celebrates all that is good and positive in the world.
Eyoälha has an undying passion for feeling joy, for creating art that engages and includes community art projects. Joyful art is a powerful and fun way to influence positive social change worldwide. She believes in treating people from all cultures, and walks of life with kindness, dignity, and respect. Joyful art projects bring people together and inspire pride in communities. Partnerships with other organizations, businesses, artists, and communities around the world help her to expand her ability to create, and share art that uplifts the world.
Eyoälha holds a BFA with Honours from Concorida University, a Media Resources Diploma, and attended LAMP International Business Management Program at Capilano University. Recent projects include:
JUMP FOR JOY PHOTO PROJECTS: Eyoälha spent 5 years creating, and sharing photos of people jumping for joy. To promote the energy of joy, those photos were turned into large-scale public art murals including the Jump for Joy Photo Mural, a 32’ x 120’ mural made with 200 4’ posters, and the Wall of Joy Mural, a 65’ x 114’ mural made with 250 6’ posters. Her desire is to expand the reach, and scale of joyful art around the world in new and creative ways.
PHOTOGRAPHY: Her images have been published internationally, presented in talks with slide shows, and showcased in large scale public art murals which have garnered international praise and impacted thousands of people around the world.
SPEAKING: Eyoälha spoke on the TEDX stage about the importance, and impact of creating joy to bring communities together in society. Other speaking engagements include Project Change – Living with Purpose (2017), PeaceLove Story Tellers Event (2017), and Interesting Vancouver (2015).
